Japan's House of Representatives Approves Pending SSAs with Finland and Sweden

On 26 May 2020, Japan's House of Representatives (lower house of parliament) approved the pending social security agreements (SSAs) with Finland and Sweden. The agreement with Finland was signed on 23 September 2019 and the agreement with Sweden was signed on 11 April 2019. Both agreements are the first of their kind between Japan and the respective countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month following the exchange of the ratification instruments.
