Jersey Interested in Negotiating Tax Treaty with Portugal

During a States Assembly meeting on 25 June 2024, Jersey's Minister of External Relations, Ian Gorst, reportedly confirmed Jersey's interest in negotiating an income tax treaty with Portugal. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
