Kazakhstan Approves Protocol to Tax Treaty with Singapore

On 14 May 2014, the Lower House of Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the protocol to the 2006 tax treaty with Singapore. The protocol brings the exchange of information article of the treaty in line with OECD standards. It will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
