Officials from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan reportedly met on 14 February 2023 to discuss bilateral relations, including the revision of the 1999 tax treaty between the two countries to bring it in line with the latest OECD standards. Any resulting revision would be the first to the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
