Turkey's Revenue Administration has announced that officials from Kenya and Turkey met from 21 to 23 February 2023 for the second round of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
Note - Kenya and Turkey previously concluded negotiations and planned to sign the treaty in 2019 but later determined that further negotiations were needed.
