On 26 January 2022, the Kosovo cabinet approved the draft law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Albania. The agreement, signed 1 December 2021, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
