On 19 November 2024, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov signed the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with the Slovak Republic. The treaty, signed 13 March 2024, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
