According to a release from the Vietnamese government, officials from Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam met on 6 March 2025 and agreed to assign relevant ministries and agencies to accelerate negotiations for the signing of an income tax treaty and other bilateral agreements. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
