The Latvian government on August 18 approved for signature a draft social security agreement with Guernsey and submitted it to the Saeima for approval, according to a release by the Latvian Ministry of Welfare. This would be the first agreement of its kind between the two jurisdictions. It must be signed and ratified by both contracting parties before entering into force.
