On April 29th, 2014, the tax treaty between Latvia and Cyprus was approved for signature by the Latvian Cabinet of Ministers. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and includes the following withholding rates:
- Dividends – 0% if the beneficial owner is a resident of the other country, otherwise 10%
- Interest - 0% if the beneficial owner is a resident of the other country, otherwise 10%
