Latvia's Cabinet of ministers has issued a release on measures to aid businesses during the COVID-19 emergency. This includes the following:
- The state will temporarily support employers in covering sick-leave payments, as well as employee salaries during idle time;
- It will be possible for businesses to defer tax payments for a period of up to three years, and the deadline for submitting annual reports has been extended to at least 31 July; and
