On 30 November 2013, the Official Gazette published Royal Decree-Law 14/2013, of 29 November, on Urgent Measures for the Adjustment of Spanish Legislation to European rules on Supervision and Solvency of Financial Entities. Although the content of the Royal Decree-Law is not tax related, its Closing Provision No. 2 modifies the Corporate Income Tax Law (CITL) regarding the deduction of the provisions for bad and doubtful debts as summarized below.
