On 24 May 2018, the Lithuanian parliament approved the ratification of the pending tax treaty with Japan. The treaty, signed 13 July 2017 ({News-2017-07-17/T/2-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
