Luxembourg has approved the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaty with Cape Verde following its approval by the Chamber of Deputies on 27 February 2024 and the Council of State vote to waive the required second vote on 12 March 2024. The treaty, signed 13 January 2022, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
