Luxembourg Confirms Entry into Force of Amending Protocol to Tax Treaty with Russia

The Luxembourg Direct Tax Administration has issued a notice confirming that the amending protocol to the 1993 income and capital tax treaty between Luxembourg and Russia entered into force on 5 March 2021. The protocol, signed 6 November 2020, includes new provisions regarding the taxation of dividend and interest income and applies from 1 January 2022.
