On 18 March 2022, Luxembourg's Government Council approved the draft laws for the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaties with Ghana and Rwanda, which were signed on 13 December 2021 and 29 September 2021, respectively. The treaties are the first of their kind between Luxembourg and the respective countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following their entry into force.
