On 26 February 2018, Macedonia published in the Official Gazette the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Israel. The treaty, signed 9 December 2015 ({News-2016-02-01/T/4-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged, and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
