On 15 August 2017, the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) announced that new tax measures are effective 1 July 2017. Most of the measures were included in the 2017/18 Budget Statement and were implemented through the relevant Amendment Acts for 2017 that were published in the Official Gazette on 25 July 2017.
