The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia has launched a public consultation on a draft public ruling that explains the tax treatment of Malaysian ships and the exemption of shipping income for qualifying persons resident in Malaysia. Once finalized, the public ruling will replace the first edition issued in December 2012.
