The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) issued a release on 5 June 2025 announcing that taxpayers with annual turnover or revenue below MYR 500,000 are exempted from the implementation of e-invoicing for the time being. Further, the e-Invoice implementation timeline has been updated, providing an implementation deferral for taxpayers with annual turnover or revenue of up to MYR 5 million.
