Maldives Approves Mutual Assistance Convention, CRS MCAA, and CbC MCAA

On 23 March 2021, the Maldives parliament (People's Majlis) approved for ratification the:

• Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, as amended;
• Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (CRS MCAA); and
• Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on The Exchange of Country-By-Country Reports (CbC MCAA).

The Maldives must now deposit the ratification instruments to bring the agreements into force.
