Mali introduced new taxes on telecommunications and mobile money effective 5 March 2025. This includes a 10% levy on mobile phone credits top-ups (recharges), as well as telephone and internet subscriptions. Further, a 1% levy is imposed on withdrawal transactions made via mobile money platforms. The tax on wireless operator revenue has also been increased from 8% to 10%.
