Malta has published Legal Notice No. 428 in the Official Gazette, which contains the Double Taxation Relief (Taxes on Income) (Russian Federation) (Amendment) Order, 2020. The Order provides for the ratification of the amending protocol to the 2013 income tax treaty with Russia. The protocol, signed 1 October 2020, will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January 2021, as specified in the protocol.
