Malta's Commissioner for Revenue recently announced an update of the Implementing Guidelines on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (Version 4.7). Updates to the guidelines concern the definition of investment entities, as well as guidance on recalcitrant accounts and undocumented accounts. Updates are also made to the list of non-EU reportable jurisdictions, which includes 67 jurisdictions, and to the list of participating jurisdictions, which includes 117 jurisdictions.
