Mauritius Sets June Return and Payment Deadlines and Allows Filing of Tax Returns Based on Unaudited Accounts Due to COVID-19

The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) has issued two communiques regarding the submission of tax returns and the payment of tax following the COVID-19 lockdown period that ended 1 June 2020. The first communique notifies taxpayers that the filing of returns and payment of taxes have been rescheduled as follows:

  • Returns that were due during the lockdown period, should be filed no later than 25 June 2020, and
  • Returns that are due for the month of June 2020, should be filed no later than 26 …
