On 27 April 2017, Mexico's Senate approved for ratification the pending income and capital tax treaty with Argentina ({News-2015-12-11/T/4- previous coverage}). The treaty, signed 4 November 2015, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
