On 21 May 2025, Moldova's Cabinet of Ministers approved the signing of an administrative arrangement for the implementation of the pending social security agreement with Italy. The agreement, signed 31 October 2024, will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 2021 social security agreement between the two countries.
