Moldova Authorizes Negotiation of Amending Protocol to Tax Treaty with Malta

On 18 November 2020, the Moldovan government authorized the negotiation of an amending protocol to the 2014 income tax treaty with Malta, which will bring the treaty in line with minimum BEPS standards. Any resulting protocol would be the first to amend the treaty and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
