Moldova Planning to Introduced 12% Reduced VAT Rate for Certain Supplies

Moldova's Ministry of Finance has reportedly proposed the introduction of a 12% reduced VAT rate for certain supplies, including:

• Services and food supplies by entities providing hotel and restaurant services;
• Horticulture production and livestock produced and supplied in Moldova; and
• Fertilizers imported and supplied in Moldova.

If approved, the 12% reduced rate will apply from 1 January 2021.
