According to a release from Moldova's Ministry of Finance, officials from Moldova and Qatar met on 16 January 2025 and agreed on the need to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
