The Moldovan government submitted a draft bill in parliament on 13 July 2022 to introduce a minimum social security (insurance) contribution for employees. Under current rules, employers are required to pay social security contributions at a general rate of 29% on gross salary, wages, etc. paid to employees, with no set minimum.
