According to a release from the San Marino Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Montenegro and San Marino met on 5 July 2022 to discuss bilateral relations and agreed to proceed swiftly for the conclusion of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
