The Moroccan government announced the creation of joint task force between the Ministries of Finance and Tourism to devise a way to tax home holiday rentals through online platforms such as Airbnb. The action comes in response to complaints from regular tourism professionals against what they see as unfair competition by a generally untaxed online home holiday rental sector.
