On 31 August 2022, the National Assembly of South Africa approved the amending protocol, signed on 1 April 2021, to the Kuwait and South Africa Income Tax Treaty (2004). In order for parliament approval to be complete, the agreement still needs to be approved by the National Council of Provinces (NCOP).
