On 28 September 2022, the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of the Congo approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Qatar. The treaty, signed 29 March 2021, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
