On 31 May 2023, the governor of the U.S. State of Nebraska signed Legislative Bill (LB) 754 into law. According to a release on the signing, LB 754 does the following:
- Reduces the top individual and business income tax rates to 3.99% by tax year 2027;
- Delivers full tax exemption for Social Security benefits a year early in 2024; and
- Provides tax credits related to childcare, for families and providers.
