The Dutch Ministry of Finance has announced that the new job-related investment tax credit (BIK) will be withdrawn with retroactive effect from 1 January 2021. The BIK, which was just introduced in 2021, was meant to promote investment by providing a credit that could offset the payment of salaries tax and national insurance (social security) contributions.
