The new agreement between Denmark and Sweden on taxation of cross-border workers entered into force on 29 December 2024. The agreement was signed on 10 June 2024 and, among other things, clarifies taxing rights under the 1996 Nordic Convention and sets out rules for pensions, remote work, and expenses for travel. The agreement generally applies from 1 January 2025, replacing the 2003 agreement between the two countries.
