The new social security agreement between Gibraltar and the United Kingdom entered into force on 1 June 2024. The agreement was concluded through the exchange of notes signed by the United Kingdom on 25 January 2024 and by Gibraltar on 26 January 2024. It generally applies from the date of its entry into force, replacing the 1974 agreement (exchange of letters).
