On 15 June 2018, officials from Belarus and France met to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the signing of a new income tax treaty. The treaty must be signed and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1985 tax treaty between France and the former Soviet Union, which currently applies in respect of Belarus.
