According to a release from Croatia's Ministry of Finance, officials from Croatia and Egypt met on 5 September 2023 to discuss the signing of a new income tax treaty. Negotiations for the treaty were concluded in September 2022. An earlier tax treaty between the two countries was signed in 2005 but never entered into force. The new treaty must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
