Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has reportedly issued a notice directing dormant companies to regularize their tax returns by 30 June 2020 in order to avoid enforcement actions. This may include enforcement actions by FIRS, as well as actions by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit and the Corporate Affairs Commission, which could include deregistration as an incorporated company or the placement of a lien on company bank accounts.
