The Dutch Ministry of Finance has announced the issuance of a joint political statement calling for an EU aviation tax together with Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and Sweden. The announcement also notes that if no agreement is reached at the level of the EU by 2021, the Netherlands will introduce its own national aviation tax.
