The Norwegian government has announced the launch of a public consultation on the introduction of a resource rent tax on onshore wind power, which was first announced as part of the budget proposal for 2023. The proposed tax would be levied at a rate of 40% on owners of land-based wind power plants that are subject to a license under the Energy Act.
