The Norwegian government has reportedly approved an extension of the reduced VAT rate provided in response to COVID-19 for passenger transport, overnight accommodation, public broadcasting, and access to cinemas, museums, amusement parks, and sporting events. Previously scheduled to expire 31 October 2020, the reduction in the rate for such supplies from 12% to 6% is now extended to 1 July 2021.
