OECD Announces Final Agreement on Two-Pillar Solution to Address Tax Challenges Arising from the Digital Economy

The OECD has announced that final agreement was reached on 8 October 2021 for the Two Pillar Solution to Address Tax Challenges Arising from the Digital Economy. With the agreement reached, 136 of 140 Inclusive Framework members have joined the statement on the two-pillar solution, including Estonia, Ireland, and Hungary, the remaining EU holdouts. The four countries that have not yet joined include Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
