On 22 June 2025, Oman's Tax Authority announced via X the issuance of the Personal Income Tax Law through Royal Decree No. 56/2025. The tax will be imposed from 2028 at a rate of 5% on individuals with annual gross income exceeding OMR 42,000, with certain deductions.
