Oman and Sri Lanka signed a first-time tax treaty on 15 August 2018. The treaty was signed by Sri Lanka’s Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Oman’s Under-Secretary for Diplomacy, on the occasion of the Second Meeting of the Sri Lanka-Oman Consultations. Both parties further agreed to start negotiations towards the conclusion of an investment promotion and protection agreement.
