According to a recent release from the Foreign Ministry of Oman, officials from Oman and the Philippines met on 14 July 2025 to sign a visa waiver agreement and discuss the enhancement of bilateral cooperation, with the two sides agreeing to finalize several agreements, including an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
