Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue has issued a notice inviting proposals for the upcoming Budget 2018-19. General areas for which proposals are sought include the following:
- Improvements in tax laws;
- Broadening of the tax base;
- Enhancement of the tax to GDP ratio;
- Generation in revenue; and
- Facilitation of taxpayers.
Proposals should be sent by 18 January 2018. Budgets are generally presented late May or early June each year.
